I am using Diablo 2 version 1.13c in DirectDraw mode. DXGL is not compatible with version 1.14 as that version of the game will always run in D3D mode. Having ddraw.dll present in a 1.14 installation will cause an initialization error on startup.

SYMPTOM:

After opening Diablo 2, the two intro videos play (left mouse click won't skip them like it should) and then the title screen and title menu (possibly other menus as well, unconfirmed) are blank (all black). Diablo 2 in 0.5.8 worked properly.

This black screen effect is still present in 0.5.11.
